This 85 foot by 34 foot twin screw towboat was designed and built by Parker Towing Company, Inc. in 1981 and named in honor of Mr. Charles A. Haun, Executive Vice President of Parker Towing company Inc. and his son Mr. Charles A. (Chas) Haun III a grandson of the Company's founder, Captain Tim Parker, Sr. Built in 1981 by Hudson Shipbuilders, Pascagoula, MS., it was re-powered in 1995 with two 12 cylinder General Motors E.M.D. model 645E2 diesel engines, delivering 2,400 horse power through 3.5 to 1 HALEY reduction gears.
It is presently in service on the Warrior-Tombigbee, Tenn-Tom, Tennessee Waterways and Mobile Bay.
