 Parker Power - We operate one of the largest towboat fleets in the region with vessels ranging from 1000 horsepower to over 4200 horsepower. Though we concentrate primarily on the Black Warrior, Tennessee-Tombigbee, Tennessee, Cumberland and East Canal Waterways, we do provide service to points such as Minneapolis, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Houston. Parker Barge Fleet - Parker transports a variety of commodities such as coal, DRI, finished cement, cement clinker, metallic ores, petroleum and metallurgical cokes, aggregates, ferro-alloys, steel products, scrap metals, forest products, machinery and project cargo in our fleet of open and covered hopper barges. We have moved millions of tons of coal to domestic coal consuming plants and utilities and to the New Orleans / Mobile areas for export overseas. Drawing upon its barge fleet, Parker Towing is positioned to handle a broad universe of cargoes from and to almost any point in the inland waterway system. Parker Towing offers consistent transit times and excellent frequency. Our barge and towboat fleet allows us to provide our customers with maximum flexibility to meet schedule or delivery changes system-wide. Coal is the dominant commodity that we transport at Parker Towing. Parker Towing is a recognized leader in the transportation of coal on the Inland Waterway system. We transport large coal volumes to domestic utility and industrial users. We also handle export coal shipments to U.S. Gulf ports. Our barge services are easily integrated into rail, truck, and vessel schedules. Parker Towing has proven experience in barge transportation and understands the coal producing and consuming markets.
