This 85 foot by 32 foot twin screw towboat was designed and built by Parker Towing Company, Inc. 1980 and named in honor of the company's founder Captain Timothy Mize Parker Sr., his son Timothy Mize Parker, Jr. and his grandson Timothy Mize Parker III.
Built in 1980 by Mainstream Shipyards, Greenville, MS., it is powered by two 6 cylinder FAIRBANKS & MORSE model 38D 8-1/8 Opposed Piston diesel engines, delivering 2,000 horse power through 3.5 to 1 HALEY reduction gears. It is presently in service on the Warrior-Tombigbee, Tenn-Tom, Tennessee Waterways and Mobile Bay.
